Tine Installation
Instructions for
Gen-Till I™ Tines |

TYPICAL TINE INSTALLATION:
For rear offset swingarm assemblies (AerWay since
1986)
{This is the left-hand side viewed from the rear of the machine.}
For Genesis Tillage Innovations Gen-Till and Gen-Till
PLUS machines and early production AerWay with forward offset
swingarms this is the inboard end of the right-hand roller
assembly.
Welded ring is to outside of the machine center or outer
section of wing unit. Head of tine bolt with flat washer
and writing on back of tine on welded ring. Do not place washer
under top lock nut. Always final tighten from the head of the
bolt end. Torque to about 110ft.lbs. Be sure the nut threads are
full of bolt.
KEY THOUGHT HERE: ALWAYS
ASSEMBLE SO THAT WELDED RING IS SUPPORTING THE THRUST FORCE APPLIED
TO THE TINE.

Left-Hand Helix on rf/lr roller (shaft rotates
counter-clockwise)
This is the correct assembly for the left-hand roller
on a rear offset machine or for the
right-hand roller on the forward offset machine such
as the Gen-Till.

Same left-hand helix looking from the opposite end of the roller
shaft.
The shaft is rotating clockwise in this picture.
